Russian Ag Min offers ways to restart Turkish tomato imports
NOVO OGARYOVO, Moscow Region, Sep 28 (PRIME) -- The Russian Agriculture Ministry has sent its proposals on a mechanism of Turkish tomato imports restart to the government, Deputy Minister Yevgeny Gromyko told reporters on Thursday.
“The Agriculture Ministry has sent its proposals to the Russian government on a mechanism of resumption of tomato supplies from Turkey to Russia. Work continues,” Gromyko said.
Moscow banned tomato imports from Turkey as part of retaliation measures from January 1, 2016 after Ankara downed a Russian Su-24 bomber.
